How to Create Your Own VPN server on a VPS with Good residential IP

Hello, virtual friends, this time we will discuss how to make your own VPN server using a free or paid VPS.

Times are growing and we certainly have to be more aware of our privacy on the internet, at least our browsing footprint is not in public. Given that yesterday there were many problems with data leakage.

This time we will use Wireguard as our VPN Server later. Using GCC (Google Cloud Console), because this is only a trial we will use a free server.

I assume you already have a GCC account, go to the search field and type "Compute Engine".

Step 1: Create a Compute engine with Ubuntu 20.04 OS, if you have logged in to the VPS using PuTTY or similar applications.

Step 2: Then Update Ubuntu using the following command, don't forget to use the root user.

apt-get update

 apt-get upgrade

Step 3: Then do the installation using the following command, and wait for the installation process to complete 

wget https://git.io/wireguard -O wireguard-install.sh && bash wireguard-install.sh

Step 4: Fill in the username for the new user, later we will use this as an example for a connection from HP or Computer.

Step 5: To add a new user type the following command:

bash wireguard-install.sh

Please, first download the Wireguard application on your android phone, you can download it from the official store on the play store

Step 1: You can import, or you can directly scan using your cellphone

Step 2: Name the Config and click save

Step 3: Click Activate and wait for the color to turn green

Step 4: Happy Surfing

Using Wireguard on Computer/Laptop

To use the VPN, we need the help of an application that we can download from the site directly, or you can click here.

For DNS, we are told to choose in the Installation section after creating an account, see the picture above

Step 1: Install the wireguard application, and follow the steps given.

Step 2: Open wireguard and import the Config file

Step 3: After Open, just click ACTIVATE, and wait until the light turns green.

Step 4: VPN is ready to use.

There are so many uses for this wireguard, in addition to encryption of connections, it can also be used for file sharing between computers with different networks. This can also be to avoid blocking sites from the government because as we know, there are several sites that are blocked.
